Our first Foxy filly joined us on July 12th, 2007 and she is everything we hoped for! Gorgeous, feminine, flashy chestnut roan with the most beautiful face and solid conformation. Out of our athletic quarter horse mare Mara, here's another blue ribbon large pony prospect. Sophi would be an excellent first pony, and large enough for an adult to ride as well. Sophi stands 13.2 hands as a 3 year old, she should mature around 14h. She is suitable for a variety of disciplines, and is very sweet and easy to handle. As you can see in the pictures below, the roan gene in welsh ponies causes them truly to be a 'horse of a different color'. Sophie sheds out nearly white with dark legs and face in the Spring, and then her body color slowly darkens to liver chestnut over the course of the year. Sophi has been started leadline, and handled on the ground by children. She is currently priced at $2500, however price will continue to increase with training. |
